Deborah Nevins & Associates is a landscape design firm based in New York City. For over thirty years, our firm has created exceptional landscapes for residential clients and cultural institutions. Our work includes the 40-acre Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and Park in Athens, a collaboration with Renzo Piano Building Workshop, and the campus expansion of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, including new buildings by Steven Holl Architects. DNA also designed the Pritzker Garden in the Renzo Piano-designed Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago. Our extensive residential work includes significant gardens and estates throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe.
The work of our firm is noted for exciting visual experiences and an extremely sophisticated use of plants, reflecting the wide geographic distribution of the firm's work, as well as our experience in green-roof technology and planting. We believe that close coordination from the inception of the project with a team of professionals—including architects, engineers, soil specialists, irrigation contractors, arborists, and maintenance supervisors—ensures that there is a rational and integrated relationship between the program, the built form, and the surrounding landscape. Deborah Nevins & Associates takes pride in collaborating with distinguished architectural firms that practice in diverse stylistic languages. We are also experienced at integrating sculpture into our designs, having worked with a number of clients with distinguished fine arts collections.
